What We Do

"You don't take a photograph, you make it." - Ansel Adams

Great imagery doesn't happen by accident. It's thoughtful, deliberate, and collaborative. A great photographer listens to clients' goals, communicates easily, adjusts quickly to challenges, and contributes insights to make every project better. This is what we do. What else should you know? Eric's approach is strongly influenced by his background as a motion picture assistant director, production manager, and producer. He's passionate about story, impossible to rattle, and holds everyone on his team to high professional standards (without being a jerk). Yes, we MAKE stills and motion. We make it fun, and we make it look easy. We also write, license images, consult/train, and sell prints on request. We are available for commission internationally.

Our Work

"The camera is the least important element in photography" - Julius Shulman

Here's a small collection of recent work and client favorites.

About Us

"I am not interested in shooting new things - I am interested to see things new." - Ernst Haas

"About" sections are weird. What photographers want you to know about them is rarely what potential clients are really interested in. Studied, mentored by the best, versatile, award winning, world traveled, cool gear, worked with the famous elite... Yes. Gifted collaborator, great listener, understands the work, committed to excellence, mad production skills, easy to work with, foucsed, attentive to every detail, reliable, surrounded by top shelf professionals... smiles a lot. Now we're talking.

We're Creative

Not everyone is a creative genius. Thankfully, creativity is pretty straightforward. In visual art, the most creative figures are those who come up with new perspectives. For us, it's looking beyond the obvious, finding the detail, conscientiously looking for a new perspective. No, we don't always find it. But we do have a process for discovery that gives us a leg up. We think it's what sets us apart.

We're Professional

Be so excellent that you can't be ignored. This statement applies to every aspect of our business. We define expectations WITH the client, we don't take shortcuts, we treat EVERYONE with respect (period), we believe integrity matters and accountability is a good thing, we don't hold back specialized knowledge, and we get the job done. You'll never worry that we won't represent your organization well. It just won't happen.

We're International

We are absolutely fascinated with every corner of the earth. Environment, language, and culture... they are integral to understanding a country's stories and histories. We take the time to learn from the people in the places we visit and it helps us capture their reflecion in architecture, landscapes, and even cuisine. We will literally travel anywhere to acquire the images you need.

What I truly enjoy about working with Eric is that it seems effortless. Here is a creative soul that embodies what we all seek to achieve. A natural raw talent with a professional approach that is organic. In the 15 years I've known and worked with Eric I have met very few that have inspired me the way he does. If ever I find myself needing a fresh perspective he has always been at the top of my list. I could never completely put into words how he has enriched my life as a fellow artist and friend.

Working with Eric Wood is always a pleasure. On top of being one of the most consistently good photographers I’ve worked with, he always surprises me with technical ability that’s only matched by his creative eye. His esthetic bespeaks the heart of an artist while maintaining and producing an accessible, marketable, product. He is the epitome of professionalism without the ego. I can't recommend him highly enough.

I have known Eric for more than 10 years now and have used his services in a number of different capacities. I have always found him to be the consummate professional and his photography work is second to none. He has taken exquisite portrait pictures of me and others that were used in a political race, and he has taken architectural photos of construction projects of mine. He comes with my full recommendation.

Eric's Mom Testimonial

Eric's Mom

#1 FAN

Eric's childhood was definitely very interesting. He lived his life with great imagination, enthusiasm and zeal in each endeavor. Since he was three years old (even thru today) his story telling abilities were endless, his humor very insightful, and he has a serious, deep thinking side that is very respected. I'm proud to be his mother.
